Costs
There are no fixed prices for any of the sites we design: every one is costed individually, as the amount of work can vary enormously. As each site is unique, costs are calculated on an individual basis but, as an indication, prices generally start at around £300 for a simple two or three page site. We will, of course, be happy to provide you with a quotation at no obligation.
Site maintenance for a period of six months is included in the price: this means that you can request changes to page content at any time. In the event of an update requiring a substantial alteration to the site (for example, adding new pages that would affect the site's navigation), this will incur a separate charge to be negotiated separately. After six months, maintenance will be charged at our hourly rate. You can also take out a maintenance contract which can give you discounts of up to 50% on our hourly rate - this is particularly attractive for those sites which require regular updating. Please note that maintenance contracts are quoted for on an individual basis.
If your site does require a large number of frequent updates, you might find it easier to do the updating either yourself, or delegate one or more members of your staff to be responsible for adding and amending content. This is not as difficult as it sounds and it does not require you to learn how to create web pages. In this case, we can supply the appropriate software and training for you and your staff.
Domain name purchase and hosting fees, should they be required, are separate and will depend on the requirements of the site. Generally, a domain name can be purchased for around £10 to £25 per year, while hosting costs usually run from £30 to £150 per year. For larger enterprises, there are occasions when a site requires a dedicated server; in this instance, we can advise on a range of options including system specification, server rental, purchase and/or installation, and co-location.
